Friday 2nd – Monday 5th  ( 2 day or 3 day course )
DOROTHEE ROBERTS – "LANDSCAPES OF NORTH CLARE IN OILS, ACRYLIC, PASTEL OR WATERCOLOUR"
Dorothee completed her art training at L’Ecole Superieure d’Art in Paris . She paints in oils, acrylic and watercolour.She aims to simplify the subject and pays particular attention to colour , design and the atmosphere of the painting. Her studio/gallery is in Carrigaline, Co Cork. She is a patient, helpful tutor of adults , teaching with enthusiasm and commitment. Course suitable for beginners and improvers.

Friday 9th – Sunday 11th  (2 day course)
BOB LYNN – "LANDSCAPES AND SEASCAPES IN OILS"
Bob trained at the Edinburgh College of Art , but has lived and painted in Ireland for many years. His affinity with the West of Ireland is reflected in his strong vibrant work. He is an energetic, thoughtful artist with his own abstract style based on colour and shape.His paintings are exhibited throughout Ireland North and South. He is an experienced tutor , who will help individuals to develop their technique . Course suitable for improvers and experienced painters.

Saturday 17th – Sunday 25th  ( 6 days painting)
An escorted painting trip with tutor GAYLE FEDIGAN CLARKE. 8 days in Colle Verde estate near Lucca , Italy . Painting the Tuscan landscapes in pastel or oils. Co-ordinator Chris O’Neill . Limited Availability .

Friday  23rd – Monday 26th  ( 2 day or 3 day course )
JILL WINCH – "BOTANICAL PAINTING OF LOCAL FLORA IN WATERCOLOUR. (MAINLY STUDIO WORK)"
Initially Jill studied at Luton College of Technology , then continued her studies in Botanical Art , achieving her diploma at the Chelsea Physic Garden in London.She now exhibits her work in local galleries , conducts classes and demonstrates for Art Societies .Her friendly and enthusiastic approach and ability to teach at all levels make her classes very popular. She encourages her students to achieve new levels of skill . The course is suitable for all levels of ability .

Friday 30th  – Monday 2nd June  ( 3 day course)
JAMIE OGILVIE – "BURREN LANDSCAPES IN OILS, PASTEL OR WATERCOLOUR"
This talented and versatile artist trained at the Royal London Schools in London.
He has spent many years teaching and tutoring adult classes. Now painting full time in Sussex , exhibiting at the Royal Academy , New England Art Club and many galleries. A popular tutor , Jamie revisits the Burren landscapes which he loves to record. A patient , helpful tutor who builds confidence in his students , with reassuring instruction and demonstrations. Suitable for all levels.


 

JUNE:-

ANNELESE PIO HANSEN – "WATERCOLOUR TECHNIQUES PAINTING THE NORTH CLARE LANDSCAPES"
This Danish artist is an experienced watercolourist who enjoys teaching her skills , through English . She writes articles for English and Danish art magazines illustrated with step by step demonstrations . She has successfully tutored workshops in Sweden,  Scotland and Denmark  . She runs her own classes near Copenhagen and loves painting on location . The subtle colours of her work are a reflection of the soft light of her local landscapes. Course suitable for beginners and improvers.

Saturday 14th – Saturday 21st  ( 3 day or 6 day course)
RICHARD DACK – "MARINE PAINTING IN ACRYLIC OR WATERCOLOUR"
Richard’s work reflects his love of maritime subjects and the particular quality of coastal light. He is an experienced tutor of adults who trained at the Camberwell School of Art , London . He aims to help students with their drawing skills and individual artistic development , using a relaxed and flexible approach . He is an elected member of The Royal Society of Marine Artists , exhibiting throughout the U.K. , and locally in Suffolk.  Course suitable for improvers and experienced painters.

Saturday 28th – Saturday 5th July ( 3 day or 6 day course)
VALERIE CRAIG – "CAPTURING THE BEAUTY OF LIGHT IN OILS"
Valerie strives to inspire her students with the fundamentals of painting ‘en plein air’ ,
Especially in the interpretation of light and atmosphere through the use of colour and brushwork. Her teaching will include composition, perspective and colour values . She will demonstrate on site and help with each students work. Her enthusiasm and energy creates an infectious atmosphere of adventure and builds confidence amongst her students. Suitable for beginners and improvers.

BARRY HERNIMAN – "WATERCOLOUR PAINTING IN THE BURREN AND INISHEER"
The strength of Barry’s landscapes comes from his background in Graphic Design .
Now based in Ross on Wye , he paints full time, writes for art magazines, produces art videos and is the author of art instruction books. His enthusiastic and innovative approach creates a lively and positive learning experience for his students. His handling of the paint , colour choice and demonstrations provide new ideas in watercolour painting . Course suitable for improvers and experienced artists.

Friday 11th – Monday 14th  ( 2 day or 3 day course )
JAMES FLACK – "WATERCOLOUR TECHNIQUES IN THE BURREN"
Jim’s watercolours capture the atmosphere of the Irish countryside with particular emphasis on his dramatic skies. A helpful and sympathetic tutor especially suitable for beginners . A competent and patient teacher of the fundamentals with frequent demonstrations in brushwork and pen and ink. Member of the Ulster and Ireland watercolour societies ,Dublin and Kildare art associations. Exhibits at the Oireachtas,  R.H.A. , and throughout Ireland. Course suitable for beginners and improvers.

Friday 18th – Sunday 20th
"2ND ANNUAL OUTDOOR LANDSCAPE PAINTING COMPETITION WEEKEND"
A weekend of art for artists. Painting demonstration on the Friday evening 18th  . The painting competition all day on Saturday 19th .  Judged by international artists. Workshop on Sunday morning 20th  followed by the prize giving lunch .

Tuesday 22nd  - Saturday 26th  ( 3 day course )
BRYAN THATCHER – "WATERCOLOUR MADE SIMPLE"
This experienced tutor and full time professional artist works from his studio in Watford Heath , U.K. Bryan gives comprehensive daily demonstrations in a loose wet into wet style , producing atmospheric landscapes and seascapes . He encourages students of all abilities to handle basic watercolour techniques using patient explanations and examples . He has produced a series of art instruction videos and written “Thatcher’s Way” and “Wet into Wet”. Suitable for all abilities .


 

AUGUST:-

BARBARA BARRETT – "WATERCOLOUR TECHNIQUES FOR LANDSCAPES AND FLOWERS"
Barbara delights in helping people to paint and demonstrates regularly for Art Clubs and Societies .She has taught watercolour techniques in Ireland, England and South Africa. She aims to capture the special light of the Irish landscape and is equally proficient painting the translucent and delicate beauty of flowers. Her enthusiastic approach gives her students plenty of motivation . She exhibits regularly in Cork and has produced her own art teaching video. Course suitable for all abilities .

Saturday 16th – Saturday 23rd  ( 3 day or 6 day course )
FRANK SANFORD – "LANDSCAPES AND SEASCAPES OF NORTH CLARE IN ALL MEDIUMS"
Frank , as a landscape painter enjoys painting outside in all weathers . He uses colour and light to express the changing mood of the landscape. He works in all mediums and all sizes. His architectural background and art training form the basis for his work. After forty years of teaching students at all levels  , he continues to learn and develop his craft. He encourages students to pursue their own direction and interest ,
Demonstrating on site. Course suitable for improvers and experienced painters.

Saturday 23rd – Thursday 28th  ( 4 day course )
FERGAL FLANAGAN – "LANDSCAPE PAINTING IN THE BURREN AND SEASCAPES OF INISHEER"
A full time professional artist , working from Glendarragh studios in Wicklow. Paints in oils, gouache and watercolour using a vibrant palette. A helpful down to earth tutor, who specialises in “en plein air” painting , using the direct painting technique. Committee member of the Dublin Painting and Sketching Club. Exhibits at many galleries throughout Ireland. The course comprises 2 days in the Burren and 2 days on Inisheer , Aran islands. Course suitable for improvers and experienced painters.
